Becoming our tenant.

Tenant relations and community building.

We hope that our tenants will enjoy living in our housing units and will get to know and enjoy socailizing with fellow tenants and other neighbours in the community. Westminster Housing Society tries to maintain a close relationship with its tenants by holding occasional social events involving both tenants and Board Members. The photos below were taken at a reception held at the Nook in 2008.

Becoming our tenant

Westminster Housing Society serves the interests of lower income people. Our rental rates vary according to ability to pay, but we cannot accept applications from a single person with an income over $24,000 per year. For a person who depends solely on social security we will lease a unit for the rental portion of the social security entitlement, (presently about $285.) For families whoare on social assistance, we require that the tenants apply for and obtain a rent supplement as a pre-condition to becoming our tenants. Applicants must have good references, and must be interviewed.

You can download an application form and send it to S.A.M. (Management) by mail or by email as indicated below.
